Usability testing: watch real users try your product
Usability testing means watching real users try to complete real tasks in your product, and measuring where they succeed, slow down or give up. I run moderated sessions with 5–8 participants, combine them with a heuristic review, and give you a short list of changes ranked by how much they block users.
What you learn
- Which tasks users complete, how long they take and how easy they find them
- Where they get stuck and why, in their own words
- A System Usability Scale (SUS) score to compare releases
- Issues an expert review finds even without users: consistency, feedback, wording
How I work
- Agree the tasks that matter most to your business
- Recruit 5–8 participants: your customers, or new users matching your audience
- 45-minute remote sessions, think-aloud, recorded with consent
- Report within a week; re-test the changed flows after fixes
- Turn the tasks into UAT cases so they are checked every release

FAQ
Is 5–8 participants enough?
For finding the problems that block most users, yes. It's not a statistical survey; it shows where and why people get stuck.
Do you design the fixes?
I recommend what to change and re-test it. Visual and interaction design stays with your designers.
